Purina One Beyond Cat Food at Walmart for $.57!

My friend Margie sent me this photo of an awesome find at Walmart.  They are offering Purina One Beyond Cat Food for $2.57 a box.  If you have Purina One Beyond $2 coupons from the August 21 Smartsource, then you can score cat food for $.57 a box!  Thanks Margie!!

Double Coupon Success at Walmart - Results

As I reported in my Wednesday Blog Post - Walmart, in accordance with its price matching policy, decided to double coupons this weekend, (matching Kmart's Double Coupon event.)  The details of the doubling procedure are that Walmart will double ANY manufacturer coupon, to the maximum value of 99 cents.

Examples: 

French's Mustard $1.08

Manufacturer Coupon $ .35 - doubled to $.70

Pay $.38

or

One Gallon Milk $2.14

Manufacturer Coupon $.75 - doubled to $.99

Pay $1.15 

I went through my coupon binder, grabbed the coupons I thought I could use (mostly $.50 and under) and this is what I came up with:

Highlights:  Carefree pantyliners, after double $.50 coupon = FREE; Suave Deodant after double $.75 coupon to $.99, $.02 OVERAGE, Curad bandaids, after double $.50 coupon, $.03 OVERAGE,  Gain dish detergent, after double $.50 coupon, $.03 OVERAGE.

Fun highlight:  Handing over four Suave coupons to a woman who came by as I was looking at the deodorant, and explaining to her how she can double the coupon to get four free deodorants.  She was so excited! 

*Curad Bandaid Disclaimer - Yes, yes, yes, there are ten boxes.  Normally I wouldn't buy ten boxes BUT Walmart was very stocked in Curad, the coupon was for any size or design and there were lots of opportunities for people to use this coupon.  Lastly, I am donating five boxes to my daughter's middle school - budget cuts make the schools very grateful for donations like this.

 

Result

Total: $126.65
Coupons Doubled: $73.29
Total OOP:  $53.36

*My total OOP included a few things I paid full price for, including dog food ($1.50), two jars of Smuckers ($2.18 each), chicken ($10.86), Vicks Vapor Rub ($4), steak on sale ($5) and a bottle of wine for me and my hub ($6).

In the spirit of reporting accurately, I'm including these in my total OOP, so please take that into consideration when you look at my totals.  If you discount the stuff I paid full price for from my total OOP, it makes my savings even more AWESOME.

It is so much fun when the list of coupons used is longer than the list of charges!

Ortega Taco Kits as low as $1.84 at Walmart!

Albertsons has Old El Paso taco kits this week 2 for $5 as part of their save $5 General Mills catalina promo.  My family LOVES tacos.  I just couldn't bite on the Albertsons price though.  There is a coupon for .50 off two Old El Paso taco kits floating around out there, but even if I combined that with a double coupon, and the $5 General Mills catalina, the price would've still been $3.50 for two.  Even for $1.75 each, having to commit a TTV (doubler) coupon to this wasn't something I was willing to do.

So as I was browsing the aisles at Walmart, I saw these for $2.84:

Then I remembered that I had this coupon: 

(See how the fine print says "any variety?")  While this kit contains taco seasoning and taco sauce, it also contains TACO SHELLS.  So, I say this should work!  And, it did!  I bought four, and got to save my TTV coupon for Pizza at Albertsons!  Yay!

Scenario:
One Ortega Taco Kit $2.84
Use one $1/1 Ortega Taco Shells Coupon
Pay $1.84!!  DEAL!

If you don't have the $1/1 coupon, you can grab a coupon for $1/2 here, but this would make the kits $2.34 each which is almost the same as the Old El Paso deal at Albertsons (before a TTV coupon.)

$1 off Skintamate Shaving Cream

If you missed the $1.50 Skintamate coupon, good news, I've found another active link!  Click here to print a coupon for $1 off Skintamate shaving cream.  These have been on sale lately at Walgreen's for 1.99 and you can use your Albertson's doubler on this coupon at Walmart to get free shaving cream.

How Cheesy! Another Great Coupon to Double This Week!

 

My friend, Janelle informed me that the cheese coupon is back ($1 off 2lbs block or shredded).  Click here and use zip code  83442. 

In the past, I have doubled this coupon and have purchased 2lb blocks of Tillamook Cheese at Walmart for 3.99 or less.  Check the Fred Meyer insert tomorrow and see if they have cheese on sale, they frequently have it for less than Albertsons or Walmart ;)  

Two weeks ago Fred Meyer had 8 oz bags of shredded cheese on sale 5 for $5.  I bought four bags and used this coupon.  (Yes you can use it on a group of bags.)  I ended up getting 2 lbs of shredded cheese for $3 - without doubling.  (My son thanked me, he's a nacho monster ;))

Rite-Aid has Cheez-its 10/$10 This Week, + Coupon = Possibly .30 each!

Rite Aid has Cheez-Its on sale (you have to have a Wellness + Card) 10/$10 this week.  You can print a coupon for  .70 off Colby Cheez-Its here.  That would make them .30 box (if Colby is on sale there.)

I don't have a Rite-Aid close to me so I will be taking my coupons and my Rite-Aid Paper to Walmart to price match.  (hint hint)  Don't forget, the coupon is for Colby flavor.
