Oh Albertsons Catalina Promos! Thank You For the Gas Discount!!!

I finished up my last little bit of shopping on the catalina promo Albertsons had for this last week and low and behold, I found out I knocked off another $.05 a gallon off my fuel bill.  This is yet one more fantastic reason to shop at Albertsons.  When their catalina promos started last Wednesday, I had accumulated a $.35 per gallon gas discount.  Six days later, approximately $30 and several trips through the line rolling catalinas, (yay for the Totinos pizza, Hamburger Helper and Dreyers!)  I had built my discount up to $.50 a gallon.

That's a pretty big deal.  Just by taking advantage of Albertsons catalinas, I also knocked off $10 from my gas bill. 

How I Turned $15.10 into $126.70 at Albertson's - You Can Do it Too!

Yesterday I wrote about my excitement for the catalina promos offered at Albertson's this week.  After some internet investigating, I found out that if you bought Hamburger Helper (10 boxes for $10), instead of receiving $5 in catalinas, the little magical machine was spitting out $7 in catalinas!  I decided to test this out myself. 

I picked three items off their General Mills Promo that I knew I wouldn't use doubler coupons for (doubles (TTV) should be here Sunday,) and headed to the store.   This is what I came up with:

Transaction 1:

10 Boxes of Hamburger Helper (10/$10)
Used 3 $.75/3 coupons
Total spent $7.75
Received $7.00 in catalinas!

Transaction 2:

10 cans of Progresso Soup (10/$10)
Used two $1/4 coupons
Rolled my $7.00 catalina from Transaction 1
Total spent $1.00
Received $5.00 in catalinas!

Transaction 3:

10 Boxes of Hamburger Helper (10/$10)
Used 3 $.75/3 coupons
Rolled my $5 catalina Transaction 2
Total spent $2.75
Received $7.00 in catalinas!

Transaction 4:

10 Boxes of Totino's Pizza Rolls (10/$10) 
Used 5 $.40/2 coupons
Rolled my $7 catalina from Transaction 3
Total spent $1.00

Received $5.00 in catalinas!

Transaction 5:

8 cans of Progresso Soup (8/$8)
2 boxes of Totino's Pizza Rolls (2/$2)
Used 2 $1/4 coupons for Progresso Soup
Used 1 $.40/2 coupon for Totino's Pizza Rolls
Rolled my $5 catalina from Transaction 4
Total Spent $2.60

Received $5.00 in catalinas! 

Total Before Preferred Member Discounts, Coupons and Catalinas:  $126.70
My Total Out of Pocket:  $15.10!!  (plus one more $5.00 catalina to roll on Sunday!)

Keep in mind, you can only take three transactions through the Albertson's line at one time.  Just separate your merchandise with the little divider bars, and pay for each one separately.  Albertson's policy states you have to take your merchandise out of the store before you return to do another transaction.  This may seem complicated, but it's rather easy.  I was in the store a total of maybe 20 minutes, and came out with this:

This sale goes through next Tuesday (August 16.)  There are multiple items being offered with catalinas.  If you don't have a sales circular, you can stop in your local Albertson's.  They should have them right inside the front door on display.  I've also read that we should be getting TTV (doubler) coupons this weekend as well!  Let me know how you do!

Need Coupons?  I have seen coupons for many of the items offered in this week's sale here, experiment with zip codes and see what pops up.  You can print two of each coupon right off your own printer!

Coupon Success at Albertson's!

I took in my left over coupons this morning that I talked about here.  Sometimes you have to bring extra coupons in case you have to make alterations in your plan.  Albertsons didn’t have Ronzoni Garden Pasta on special, only Smart Taste so I wasn’t able to pick it up at a discount.  I also changed out my Purina coupon for the three boxes of Pop Tarts.

This is what I came home with:

Total - Full Price:  $56.82

Total out of pocket after preferred discounts, coupons and catalinas:  $6.12

All of this WITHOUT DOUBLERS!

Using up left over coupons at the end of an Albertson's Sale

I like to check out my left over coupons on Monday night, to see what I can use at Albertsons at the end of their sales week.  I compared my coupons to the price match ups at Fabulessly Frugal and this is what I can pick up on the last day of The More you Buy, The More You Save Sale: 

I'm going to divide my coupons into two transactions.
